Student of the Year

Purpose:
The Student Registered Nurse Anesthetist award is presented to a student who exemplifies a commitment to the profession of nurse anesthesia and to advancing
the art and science of anesthesia.

Eligibility:

The nominee must be:
  • A student registered nurse anesthetist in the state of Ohio, attending one of the Ohio nurse anesthesia program
  • A member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists
  • Hold a 3.5 GPA or higher
  • Current Ohio student board members are not eligible
Criteria:
Nomination submissions should include details on:
  • Specific contributions to the nurse anesthesia program or to the profession
  • Details on clinical performance
  • Presentations or educational sessions provided by nominee
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities and professional organizations
Process:
Complete the nomination form below. Letters of support from additional students or colleagues can be included as well, but are not necessary.

Selection Process:
The OSANA Board of Directors and Ohio Nurse Anesthetist Student Board will decide the recipient each year.

Deadline and Notification:
Nominations will be accepted until January 31st. Award recipients will be notified of the award after that time.
