Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee of the Ohio State Association of Nurse Anesthetists (OSANA) is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment that reflects the diverse communities we serve. Our mission aligns with OSANA's commitment to advancing nurse anesthesiology through excellence in education, advocacy, knowledge, and member empowerment.

What We Do

The DEI Committee works to integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into OSANA’s education, advocacy, and professional development efforts. We provide resources, foster discussions, and develop initiatives to ensure all CRNAs and SRNAs in Ohio feel represented and supported. Our initiatives include:

  • Expanding diversity in nurse anesthesiology through outreach and career awareness programs.
  • Increasing equitable opportunities for professional development, mentorship, and leadership within OSANA.
  • Enhancing DEI education and resources for members to support inclusive patient care and workplace environments.
  • Collaborating with OSANA leadership to ensure DEI efforts align with the organization's broader mission.

Get Involved:

Serving on the DEI committee is voluntary.  We welcome CRNAs and SRNAs who are passionate about fostering an inclusive profession. Whether you want to help develop educational initiatives, participate in outreach programs, or contribute ideas for increasing DEI awareness in anesthesia, your involvement is valuable.
